CHI Laptop Users
If you have a CHI managed laptop you can already remote desktop into your machine without the need of a VPN.
Setup Step-by-step guide
Setup instructions:
You can find your Computer's Hostname by simply starting Powershell and running the command hostname
Connecting Step-by-step guide
Connection instructions:
- Install the VMware horizon Client
- Click on "New Server"
- Enter offsite.connect.ukserp.ac.uk
- On the first screen enter your username and your Yubikey button press in the pass code box.
- On the second screen enter your password.
- On the third screen click "CHI VPN Desktop"
- Once your desktop has loaded you'll then need to use the "Remote Desktop Connection" program to access your CHI Desktop, simply typing in your computer's hostname will work
