Connecting Step-by-step guide
Connection instructions (“OMNISSA HORIZON” was known as “VMWARE HORIZON”):
Install the Omnissa horizon Client (you may already have it installed, best to check before downloading)
Click on "New Server"
Enter connect.serp.ac.uk
On the first screen enter your username (laptop username if CHI User) and your Yubikey button press in the pass code box.
On the second screen enter your password.
On the third screen click "CHI VPN Desktop"
If you have been assigned a dedicated Desktop - Once your desktop has loaded you'll then need to use the "Remote Desktop Connection" program to access your CHI Desktop, simply typing in your computer's hostname will work. This can be found under, Start Menu > Windows Accessories > Remote Desktop Connection.
If no dedicated desktop has been assigned, you are free to use CHI VPN Desktop to access resources including the P drive, and old Jira system.
